Problem:

When you try to install or update SOLIDWORKS Connected, you get the error message: “Installation failed. Unable to install in a non-empty directory. Please delete the contents of this directory or choose an empty directory”.

When installing SOLIDWORKS, you must select an empty folder in Windows to install it. If you get this error message, you must have selected a folder that is not empty (it may contain files or folders, perhaps from an older version).

Solution:

Create a new folder in which to install SOLIDWORKS Connected.

You can create a folder and name it “SOLIDWORKS Connected 2”, for example.

The default path is %ProgramFiles%\Dassault Systemes\
