Dassault Syst\u00e8mes and its network of partners, of which XDI is a member, are committed to supporting manufacturers in these fields.<\/p>\n<p>To meet these challenges, the industry needs to transform itself and adopt new technologies that make it more agile, efficient and sustainable. This is what we call<strong>Industry 4.0<\/strong>, the fourth industrial revolution. But what exactly is Industry 4.0? And how does it relate to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.3ds.com\/fr\/\">Dassault Syst\u00e8me software<\/a> such as <a href=\"https:\/\/ohmycad.com\/offres-3dexperience-solidworks\/\">Solidworks<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/ohmycad.com\/catia\/\">Catia<\/a>? That&#8217;s what we&#8217;ll be looking at in this article.<\/p>\n<h2>SolidWorks, Catia, 3D software, is this Industry 4.0?<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Industry 4.0<\/strong> is the name given to the fourth industrial revolution, which is characterized by the integration of digital technologies into production processes. Industry 4.0 aims to create intelligent systems capable of adapting to customer needs, optimizing resources and communicating with each other. For example, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.techniques-ingenieur.fr\/actualite\/articles\/lusine-4-0-cest-quoi-37271\/\">Factory 4.0<\/a> can use sensors, robots, drones or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prodways.com\">3D printers<\/a> to automate certain tasks, collect data in real time and adjust production according to demand. Even if it&#8217;s commonly acknowledged that Industry 4.0 is more about the shop floor, the whole digitalization of products and processes is clearly intimately linked to these topics.<\/p>\n<p>Dassault Syst\u00e8me is a world leader in the field of <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Logiciel_de_mod%C3%A9lisation_tridimensionnelle\"><br \/>\n  <strong>design, simulation and<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/a><strong>simulation<\/strong> and <strong>product lifecycle management (PLM&amp; PDM)<\/strong> software. Dassault Syst\u00e8me offers solutions tailored to different industrial sectors, such as aeronautics, automotive, healthcare and energy. Its flagship products include Solidworks and Catia. These tools are grouped together under the <a href=\"https:\/\/ohmycad.com\/2021\/02\/12\/la-decouverte-dune-nouvelle-plateforme-de-collaboration-3dexperience\/\">3DEXPERIENCE<\/a> platform.<\/p>\n<h2>SOLIDWORKS and Industry 4.0<\/h2>\n<p>Solidworks is a <strong>3D<\/strong> computer-aided design (CAD) <strong>program<\/strong> for creating 3D models of parts and assemblies. Solidworks is used by over 6 million users worldwide, mainly in the fields of mechanics, electronics and architecture. For example, an engineer can use Solidworks to <a href=\"https:\/\/ohmycad.com\/training\/\">design a mechanical part in 3D<\/a>, visualize it from different angles, easily modify it and share it with colleagues.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>CATIA and Industry 4.0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Catia is a <strong>3D<\/strong>, computer-aided engineering and manufacturing <strong>software package<\/strong> for the design of complex products such as airplanes, cars and ships. Catia is used by over 3 million users worldwide, including major aerospace and automotive manufacturers. For example, a designer can use Catia to create a 3D model of an aircraft, simulate it under different flight conditions, validate it according to safety standards and transfer it to the production line. it&#8217;s what we call a <a href=\"https:\/\/ohmycad.com\">Digital Twin<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Industry 4.0 and Dassault Syst\u00e8me software are closely linked, as they aim to accelerate innovation, improve quality and reduce costs<\/strong>. Thanks to this software, manufacturers can design virtual products that faithfully reproduce the real-life behavior of physical products. They can also simulate different scenarios and test product performance before manufacturing. Finally, they can connect products to each other and to their environment, to create personalized, optimized experiences.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to 3D design solutions, tools like <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.3ds.com\/france\/global-industrie-2021-3dexperience-delmia-4-piliers-au-service-de-la-transformation-industrie\/\">DELMIA<\/a>, for example, will help manufacturers to digitalize their manufacturing processes.
