SOLIDWORKS update &#8211; what to do in case of problems?"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Introduction<\/h3>\n<p>Updates for SOLIDWORKS Connected arrive regularly &#8211; every 2 or 3 months. When an update is scheduled, Dassault Syst\u00e8mes gives you several weeks&#8217; notice. <\/p>\n<p>You then have <strong>2 weeks to update<\/strong> before it becomes mandatory.<\/p>\n<h3>What should I do if I have problems updating?<\/h3>\n<p>Can&#8217;t get <a href=\"https:\/\/hub.xdinnovation.eu\/knowledge\/mettre-%C3%A0-jour-solidworks-connected\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the update to work<\/a>? If you&#8217;re an XDI Europe customer, you&#8217;re in good hands. <\/p>\n<h4>1. Gather information<\/h4>\n<p>To solve the problem properly, we must first understand it:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Take screenshots of the error message(s) encountered<\/li>\n<li>Compress and retrieve the following folder: C:Program FilesDassault SystemesSOLIDWORKS 3DEXPERIENCEInstallData<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"hs-image-align-center\" height=\"446\" style=\"height: auto; width: 500px;\" src=\"https:\/\/8764694.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net\/hubfs\/8764694\/image-png-Apr-15-2024-04-41-56-5717-PM.png\" width=\"500\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<h4>2. Report the problem<\/h4>\n<p>Our XDI Europe support team probably knows the solution to your problem. Maybe you&#8217;ll be able to solve the problem more quickly that way? <\/p>\n<h3>Attempt to reinstall SOLIDWORKS<\/h3>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve sent us an e-mail but want to try and resolve it yourself, you can <a href=\"https:\/\/hub.xdinnovation.eu\/knowledge\/clean-uninstallation-of-solidworks-connected\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reinstall SOLIDWORKS cleanly<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not very fast, but it&#8217;s already solved a lot of installation problems.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h3>We can fix your PC while we fix yours!<\/h3>\n<p>If you have the Care, Support &amp; Maintenance Pack (\u20ac50\/month XDI service), we can unlock a Shadow virtual PC for you, free of charge, for the duration of our intervention.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>You can continue working on SOLIDWORKS, and we can &#8220;repair&#8221; your PC in the meantime.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><em>Want to gripe about updating or SOLIDWORKS?<\/em><\/h3>\n<p>It&#8217;s never pleasant to have problems.
