Checking for the presence of materials<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Let&#8217;s also check whether or not any materials are already present in your Cloud. Click on &#8220;<em>My Content<\/em>&#8221; as follows: <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"hs-image-align-center\" height=\"292\" style=\"width: 394px; height: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/8764694.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net\/hubfs\/8764694\/image-png-Apr-10-2024-02-39-54-0100-PM.png\" width=\"394\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the 6W Tags window, filter with &#8220;<em>Core Material<\/em>&#8220;. Installing optional content<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At this stage, another prerequisite is essential: on the platform, always by clicking on the arrow to the right of your simulation icons, check that optional content has been installed. If the message &#8220;<em>Install Optional Content Now<\/em>&#8221; appears, proceed with installation. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"hs-image-align-center\" height=\"231\" style=\"width: 272px; height: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/8764694.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net\/hubfs\/8764694\/image-png-Apr-10-2024-02-43-50-5688-PM.png\" width=\"272\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"hs-callout-type-warning\" data-hs-callout-type=\"warning\">\n<p>Please note: You&#8217;ll need to do this on one of the icons corresponding to your structural simulation role, such as <em>Structural Performance Engineer<\/em>, but also on any other icon serving other simulation roles, such as FMK<em>(Fluid Dynamics Engineer)<\/em> or plastic injection molding.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Step 2: Define path for predefined material files<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Once the optional content has been installed, we can go and retrieve the files containing the base of predefined materials.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Search under :<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>C:\\Program Files\\Dassault Systemes\\B424_Cloud_Content\\win_b64\\resources\\materials<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"hs-callout-type-note\" data-hs-callout-type=\"note\">\n<p>Note: These files will have the extension &#8220;.3dxml&#8221;.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Step 3: Import predefined material bases<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Let&#8217;s now look at how to import them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The first step is to start up a local Apps application, such as <em><strong>Collaborative Lifecycle <\/strong><\/em>or <em><strong>Linear structural validation<\/strong><\/em>.  &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"hs-image-align-none\" height=\"75\" style=\"width: 200px; height: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/8764694.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net\/hubfs\/8764694\/image-png-Apr-23-2024-01-42-53-8774-PM.png\" width=\"200\" loading=\"lazy\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"hs-image-align-none\" height=\"69\" style=\"width: 205px; height: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/8764694.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net\/hubfs\/8764694\/image-png-Apr-23-2024-01-43-00-5164-PM.png\" width=\"205\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Then choose which <strong>Collaborative Space<\/strong> you wish to import the data into.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"hs-image-align-center\" height=\"225\" style=\"width: 215px; height: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/8764694.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net\/hubfs\/8764694\/image-png-Apr-10-2024-02-48-01-8588-PM.png\" width=\"215\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Click on the&nbsp;<strong>+<\/strong> at top right, then <strong><em>Import<\/em><\/strong>. Select the directory where the .3dxml file is located, then choose the file to be imported.
