Standard uninstall<\/h4>\n

In most most <\/strong><\/em>In most cases, a standard uninstall is enough to solve a problem you’ve identified as an installation issue.<\/p>\n

  1. If you are working online, go to step 2. If you are working offline, start SOLIDWORKS\u00ae Connected, reconnect to your 3DEXPERIENCE platform and close SOLIDWORKS Connected. <\/li>\n
  2. Right-click on the Start menu and select Apps & Features or Installed Apps. (You can also access the list of installed applications via Windows Settings). <\/li>\n
  3. Uninstall Dassault Systemes SOLIDWORKS 3DEXPERIENCE R20XXx.<\/li>\n
  4. Check that the installation folder has been removed from %programfiles%\\Dassault<\/em> Systemes\\SOLIDWORKS 3DEXPERIENCE
    <\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Reinstall SOLIDWORKS Connected <\/a>to see if the problem has been solved. <\/p>\n

    Intermediate deinstallation<\/h4>\n

    In some <\/strong><\/em>cases, a standard uninstall may prove insufficient, and a more complete uninstall may be required. <\/p>\n

    1. Follow steps 1 to 3 of the standard uninstall procedure.<\/li>\n
    2. In no particular order, uninstall :\n
        \n
      1. Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x64)<\/li>\n
      2. Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x86)<\/li>\n
      3. CEF for SOLIDWORKS Applications<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Reinstall SOLIDWORKS Connected <\/a>to see if the problem has been solved. <\/p>\n

        Advanced uninstall<\/h4>\n

        In very rare cases, an intermediate uninstall may prove insufficient, and you may need to carry out an even more complete uninstall. <\/p>\n

        1. Save your customized settings and file templates <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          1. Follow steps 1 to 3 of the standard uninstall procedure.<\/li>\n
          2. In no particular order, uninstall :\n

            3. Dassault Systemes Software VC11 Prerequisites x86-x64<\/li>\n
            4. Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x64)<\/li>\n
            5. Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x86)<\/li>\n
            6. Microsoft Visual Studio Tools for Applications 2022 (If the ‘Uninstall’ button is grayed out, click on ‘Modify’ then uninstall in the window that appears)<\/li>\n
            7. SOLIDWORKS Login Manager<\/li>\n
            8. WPTx64<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
            9. Uninstall Visual Basic (VBA) 7.1<\/li>\n
            10. \n

              1. Download the attachment QA00000070487_uninstall_vba.bat<\/strong><\/a>.<\/li>\n
              2. Right-click on the file and select Run as administrator.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                NOTE: If you see other versions of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable or Microsoft Visual Studio Tools for Applications, we recommend that you do not uninstall them for the following reasons:<\/p>\n
