Invite or remove members"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Introduction<\/h3>\n<p>Whether you&#8217;re logging on to the platform for the first time, or your team and roles evolve (e.g. after a renewal), you need to know how to manage the people active on your platform and the roles assigned to them.<\/p>\n<div class=\"hs-embed-wrapper hs-fullwidth-embed\" style=\"position: relative; overflow: hidden; width: 100%; height: auto; padding: 0px; min-width: 256px; display: block; margin: auto;\" data-service=\"youtube\" data-responsive=\"true\">\n<div class=\"hs-embed-content-wrapper\">\n<div style=\"position: relative; overflow: hidden; max-width: 100%; padding-bottom: 56.5%; margin: 0px;\"><iframe width=\"200\" height=\"113\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Pa4FmNDuln4?list=PLG_cYn2MLrdT0KJqI-vW3hYm8nkw_fbpd\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen=\"\" style=\"position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px; width: 100%; height: 100%; border: none;\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3>Everything you need to know before inviting members<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>3DSwymer is the prerequisite role for inviting someone.<\/li>\n<li>When you assign a role to someone and that person uses it, the role is <strong>locked for that user for 30 days.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The role is also locked for 2 hours after the last use by the user.<\/li>\n<li>We can&#8217;t remove the role if it&#8217;s locked.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"hs-image-align-center\" style=\"height: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/8764694.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net\/hubfs\/8764694\/image-png-Sep-05-2023-11-44-26-7041-AM.png\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<h3>Inviting new users<\/h3>\n<p>To add new users to your company&#8217;s 3DEXPERIENCE platform, access your<a href=\"https:\/\/eu1-ifwe.3dexperience.3ds.com\/#dashboard:e88a79f9-b86c-449d-b438-dca5445d4a9b\/tab:Members\/invite-grant-roles\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;Platform Management<\/a>&#8221; dashboard.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"mceclip5.png\" class=\"hs-image-align-none\" style=\"height: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/support.plmgroup.eu\/hc\/article_attachments\/4455700778269\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<p>Fill in the e-mail address and access rights in the drop-down menu:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Member: normal access to the platform<\/li>\n<li>Administrator: for access to the same dashboard and Platform Management functions<\/li>\n<li>External: to invite people from outside your company (as part of cross-company collaboration).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can also choose to write a personalized message for the new user. When you&#8217;re happy with your choices, click &#8220;Next&#8221;. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"mceclip6.png\" class=\"hs-image-align-none\" style=\"height: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/support.plmgroup.eu\/hc\/article_attachments\/4455707768093\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Roles must be assigned to the new user. The prerequisite for logging on to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform is to have a &#8220;3DSwymer&#8221; role available. <\/p>\n<p>You can then assign other roles. When you assign roles such as SOLIDWORKS or CATIA, the prerequisite role &#8220;Collaborative Industry Innovator&#8221; is automatically assigned. <\/p>\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve assigned the appropriate roles, click &#8220;Next&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"mceclip7.png\" class=\"hs-image-align-none\" style=\"height: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/support.plmgroup.eu\/hc\/article_attachments\/4455722126237\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"hs-callout-type-tip\" data-hs-callout-type=\"tip\">\n<p>Tip: you can invite someone in read-only mode with the &#8220;3DSwymer&#8221; and &#8220;Collaborative Industry Innovator&#8221; roles. No need for SOLIDWORKS! <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On the next page, you&#8217;ll find &#8220;SOLIDWORKS add-in&#8221; and &#8220;CATIA V5&#8221;. This is simply a connector for users who already own the <em>older generations of<\/em> SOLIDWORKS and CATIA. It is not the complete software!  <\/p>\n<p>We advise you not to select these options.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"hs-image-align-center\" style=\"height: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/8764694.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net\/hubfs\/8764694\/image-png-Sep-05-2023-10-35-09-8120-AM.png\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<p>An invitation will then be sent to the new user by e-mail. Click on the link provided, create an account and log in. <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>How to delete a user<\/h3>\n<p>You can only delete a user if his or her role is not <strong>locked <\/strong>(see the conditions for a role to be locked earlier in this article).<\/p>\n<p>Go to the user&#8217;s details:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"hs-image-align-none\" style=\"height: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/8764694.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net\/hubfs\/8764694\/image-png-Sep-05-2023-12-04-42-4737-PM.png\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<p>Then in Settings :<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"hs-image-align-none\" style=\"height: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/8764694.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net\/hubfs\/8764694\/image-png-Sep-05-2023-12-05-48-9139-PM.png\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<p>You can then :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Remove access &#8211; the user will no longer be able to log in, but you can reactivate access at any time.<\/li>\n<li>Delete user &#8211; this removes the user from the platform. You can invite them back later if necessary. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Content created by this user will always be associated with his or her name, so you won&#8217;t lose any traceability.
