Update SOLIDWORKS Connected"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>About updates<\/h3>\n<p>You can consult the details of each update <a href=\"https:\/\/r1132100503382-eu1-3dswym.3dexperience.3ds.com\/#community:4\/wiki:1d4N6xSGQMKRTwat2uJ7ng\" rel=\"noopener\">on this link<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>There are several types of updates:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Major update (R202Xx): corresponds to a SOLIDWORKS year change (from 2022 to 2023, etc.).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These updates take place at the end of each year. They are compulsory (red icon) and must be done in order to launch SOLIDWORKS. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minor update (FD0X): corresponds to the addition of new features and bug fixes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This occurs approximately every 3 months. You have 2 weeks to update before it becomes mandatory (orange icon). <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hotifx (HF): these are critical bug fixes. This type of update is rare and optional (orange or green icon). <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Update example: R2023x FD03 HF3.6<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"hs-image-align-center\" src=\"https:\/\/8764694.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net\/hubfs\/8764694\/image-png-Aug-30-2023-03-55-14-1823-PM.png\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Here, no colored icon: no update available<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"hs-callout-type-note\" data-hs-callout-type=\"note\">\n<p>Note: you will be notified by e-mail a few weeks before the update. Prepare yourself and your teams to have some time to update licenses. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n<h3>How do I update?<\/h3>\n<h4>0. Disable offline mode<\/h4>\n<p>If you were offline, open SOLIDWORKS and reconnect.<\/p>\n<h4>1. Close SOLIDWORKS<\/h4>\n<p>We&#8217;re pushing open doors, but it&#8217;s better to say so.<\/p>\n<h4>2. Open the 3DEXPERIENCE platform<\/h4>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t have it bookmarked, click on the Launcher icon in the bottom right-hand corner of Windows :<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"hs-image-align-none\" src=\"https:\/\/8764694.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net\/hubfs\/8764694\/image-png-Aug-30-2023-03-59-50-0115-PM.png\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<p>Alternatively, use this generic link: https:\/\/eu1-ifwe.3dexperience.3ds.com<\/p>\n<h4>3. Open the compass and search for the SOLIDWORKS application<\/h4>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"hs-image-align-none\" src=\"https:\/\/8764694.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net\/hubfs\/8764694\/compass-png-1.png\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<h4>4. Click on the drop-down menu next to the SOLIDWORKS icon<\/h4>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"hs-image-align-none\" src=\"https:\/\/8764694.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net\/hubfs\/8764694\/image-png-Aug-30-2023-04-06-20-7534-PM.png\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<p>And select the red \/ orange \/ green arrow (depending on the type of update)<\/p>\n<div class=\"hs-callout-type-warning\" data-hs-callout-type=\"warning\">\n<p>Sometimes, the 3DEXPERIENCE <strong>Launcher <\/strong>also needs to be updated. The update runs automatically, and once completed, you can update SOLIDWORKS Connected. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h4>5. Follow update instructions<\/h4>\n<p>If any error or warning messages appear, check that they are not simply processes running on your PC that are blocking installation.<\/p>\n<p>Close these processes if this is the case.<\/p>\n<div class=\"hs-callout-type-caution\" data-hs-callout-type=\"caution\">\n<p>Please note: do NOT restart your PC during the update, even if you are prompted to do so. Do NOT put your PC to sleep either. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>In the event of a problem<\/h3>\n<p>Sometimes, life gets the better of you&#8230; Don&#8217;t worry, we&#8217;ll help you. <\/p>\n<p>If you have a problem, write to us at <strong>support@xdinnovation.eu<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please include screenshots and information about the problem.<\/p>\n<h4>Solving known problems<\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">a. Check your equipment<\/p>\n<p>Download and run the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.3ds.com\/support\/cloud\/eligibility\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dassault Syst\u00e8mes Cloud Eligibility Test<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">b. &#8220;Unable to extract installation data&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>If you get this error message :<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"hs-image-align-none\" src=\"https:\/\/8764694.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net\/hubfs\/8764694\/image-png-Oct-27-2023-01-04-53-9784-PM.png\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<p>It is very likely that you are being blocked by SentinelOne antivirus.
