Modify or add properties en masse without having to open files"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Introduction&nbsp;<\/h3>\n<p>When you need to regularly update or add properties to design files, this can become a tedious and time-consuming task.<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;Update Custom Properties&#8221; feature in SOLIDWORKS Connected simplifies this process by automating the updating of material information, revision and project information such as customer name and delivery date, ensuring that documentation is always accurate and compliant.<\/p>\n<h3>How do you plan the allocation of properties?<\/h3>\n<h4>1. Access the Task Scheduler<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Open SOLIDWORKS&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Click on Tool &gt; SOLIDWORKS Applications &gt; SOLIDWORKS Task Scheduler<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>2.  Schedule a task<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Choose &#8220;Update custom properties&#8221; from the left-hand menu<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"hs-image-align-none\" height=\"357\" style=\"width: 688px; height: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/8764694.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net\/hubfs\/8764694\/Capture%20d%C3%A9cran%202024-07-25%20143930-png.png\" width=\"688\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<p>In the window that opens :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Choose the location of the folder containing the parts to which you want to assign\/modify properties by clicking on &#8220;Add a folder&#8221;, and include sub-folders if required.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"hs-image-align-none\" height=\"545\" style=\"height: auto; width: 613px;\" src=\"https:\/\/8764694.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net\/hubfs\/8764694\/Capture%20d%C3%A9cran%202024-07-25%20143622-png.png\" width=\"613\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/li>\n<li>Optional: enter the time you want the task to run in &#8220;Task scheduling&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>Click on &#8220;Next<\/li>\n<li>In the next window, for each property to be added\/modified, fill in the &#8220;Name&#8221;, &#8220;Type&#8221; and &#8220;Value&#8221; fields. You can also use the drop-down menu. &nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Finally, in the &#8220;configuration&#8221; field, enter the name of the desired configuration.
