In this new article, we catch up with Guillaume Chaumet, co-founder of La Ruche \u00e0 V\u00e9los.<\/p>\n

Lucie P-L: \u201cCould you please introduce yourself?\u201d<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/i><\/h3>\n

Guillaume C: \u201cMy name is Guillaume Chaumet, I\u2019m 23 years old, and I live in Nantes. I co-founded the The Bike Hive<\/a> \u201dwith two friends from school two years ago.\"<\/b><\/p>\n

L: \u201cWhat\u2019s the concept behind La Ruche \u00e0 V\u00e9lo <\/a>?\u00a0\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/h3>\n

G: \u201cIt\u2019s an automated and secure bike parking solution. The way it works is that the user can come, place their bike in a bay, and then a machine will automatically retrieve it and store it in a storage area. This means the bike will be protected from the elements and, most importantly, will enjoy maximum security.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

L: \u201cWhat are your needs and challenges when it comes to 3D design?\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/h3>\n

C: \u201cAll of our needs and challenges will be addressed in the design of the parking garage. So this includes all the 3D modeling, as well as the design of the machined parts, and then the integration of the commercial elements to create the final model.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

L: \u201cWhy did you choose 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS<\/a> ?\u00a0\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/h3>\n

C: \u201cWe chose it because we are part of the SOLIDWORKS Startup program<\/a>. I hadn't heard of this solution at all before. So we gave it a try. It's true that we're really getting to know what it's all about now.<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201dThe platform lets us share and work together. There are three of us working on the design. The platform is actually pretty good for collaboration.\"<\/b><\/p>\n

L: \u201cIn your opinion, what are the two or three aspects that best characterize the platform?\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/h3>\n

  • \u201cActually, I'd say collaborative work, drive-through work\"<\/b><\/li>\n
  • The ability to view the documents as well<\/b><\/li>\n
  • \u201dAnd then there's the fact that having a platform gives you access to the various SOLIDWORKS solutions\"<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    L: \u201cWhat do you think is the platform\u2019s real added value?\u201d<\/b><\/span><\/i><\/h3>\n

    C: \u201cYes, for us it\u2019s more about collaborative work, being able to all work on the same design at the same time.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

    L: \u201cA few words about your experience with XDI?\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/h3>\n

    C: \u201cThe XDI service was included in the startup package, which lets us ask experts questions whenever we need to. Most importantly, it also provides us with guidance as we explore 3DEXPERIENCE.\u201d<\/b><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
