Interview: AERIX SYSTEMS
As part of our ongoing effort to gather feedback from our diverse client base, we are today interviewing the CEO and co-founder of’AERIX SYSTEMS?
AERIX SYSTEMS is a company that designs and develops omnidirectional drones. These drones are capable of navigating in any direction and orientation in space.
Their system is designed for the civil security, audiovisual, and professional response markets. Indeed, thanks to its extensive operational and security capabilities, the technology offered by the company enables new methods of filming.
It has also proven to be a valuable asset in searches for missing persons in the mountains—for example, with a drone capable of operating despite snow or strong winds on mountain slopes.
So, the company's CEO, Clément Picaud, asked him to share his needs and experience regarding the CATIA software, 3DEXPERIENCE, and support at XDI.
- First, we wanted to understand the company’s needs and challenges regarding 3D design.
Clément tells us that the technology that’The technologies they are developing today raise highly complex research and development challenges that require a thorough understanding of the device’s physical properties.“People who are used to working with Dassault Systèmes tools (via CATIA V5) During our studies, my business partner, Hugo MAYOUNOVE, and I became convinced of the central role that computer-aided design plays in product development. The industrial challenges facing companies today require us to develop products that are highly complex both mechanically and electronically, necessitating a thorough understanding of business needs. This is a key advantage of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, which leverages various roles and the platform itself., which also makes it easier to work from home”Clément states that CATIA V5 is a guarantee of quality for them, and they hope to find that same sense of certainty through the 3DEXPERIENCE.
- Then we looked into on the choice of the 3DEXPERIENCE
According to Clément, getting started with the platform is still very complicated.
He adds that it is difficult to fully understand how to use it or even to navigate it without some initial help. “Although the design tools are similar to CATIA V5 and can therefore be mastered very quickly by those with prior experience, using the platform posed many challenges for us at first, particularly with Product Life Management, bookmarks, and other features that aren’t intuitive.”.
”It was also this lack of intuitiveness that caused us a lot of problems when we first started using the PLM and managing all the files."
In short, Clément’s message is that managing the Dashboard section is complex and not very intuitive at first, but with help and training, it becomes an indispensable tool and adds value to project management. According to him, it’s only over time that a startup like his can design complex systems that work in harmony across different business functions.
To conclude this interview,We wanted to get some feedback on the experienceXDI.
Clément says that he and his team received excellent support, adding, “It was mainly through the training sessions and the time the mentors made available.” XDI We quickly got past the initial learning curve. There was excellent communication regarding the software, which put us at ease about the tools and our needs, thanks to people who truly understood the software and the challenges it presented. The support provided for getting started and managing the software proved to be indispensable, and we are particularly satisfied with it.»
In closing, Clément states that XDI has been a true partner in implementing the tool, by listening to his needs, providing excellent training, and, above all, responding quickly to his company’s needs. He emphasizes that whenever new employees joined his company, XDI was very responsive in making the tools available to them.
