Description
SOLIDWORKS Turning Professional is the CAM role in the product line dedicated to turning: programming rotational parts generated from your SOLIDWORKS 3D model on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Mill-turn operations are also supported, as are milling and prismatic machining from the common base.
For a machinist or a production planning department, the key benefit is continuity: design and programming share the same model, and machining simulation allows toolpaths to be verified before starting the machine. Laser and waterjet cutting, wire EDM, and Shop Floor NC review round out the scope, along with integrated 3DLearn training.
The license is a named-user, multi-device subscription with cloud or local storage, available on an annual or 3-month commitment basis. New versions and patches are included, and two months are offered free with the annual commitment.
- Turning and Mill-Turn
- Generating toolpaths from the 3D model
- Machining Simulation and Optimization
